You want to live your life happy and free, but every motherfucker out there has something to say about your body and your choices. Everyone from the rando passing you on the street to your own family feels way too comfortable criticizing your body and your choices.
Why is your cleavage out?
Why are you dressed like a nun?
Why do you travel so much, why don’t you settle down and give me grandbabies?
Why don’t you shave?
What’s that in your nose?
Tattoos make you look cheap.
Fuck ’em. You don’t need anyone’s permission to live life the way you want to. Self-expression is personal. Whether it’s the clothes you wear, the way you decorate your skin, or the art you create, it’s personal and it’s your choice. Create the way you want.
Life is a roller coaster. Filled with ups and downs, but also fast. Don’t leave this world wishing you would have done the things you wanted to, just because the people around you couldn’t understand you.
Dye your hair, wear that dress, get the tattoo, create the art that hangs in your room. Be yourself.
